Job summary

This Quality Inspector role offers a hands-on, collaborative environment where you will verify drawings and material specifications and drive quality records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ Inspection/Quality experience in manufacturing.
• Must have computer understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to interpret drawings including GD&T.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize inspection duties.
• Ability to work with others in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to safely lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to understand PO requirements and verification of Certificate of Conformance.
• Knowledge of mechanical measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, scales, pin and radius gauges, height gauge, surface finish comparator, dial indicator, etc.
• Knowledge of Programmable CMM/ PCMM Faro Arm/Romer Arm w/Laser line probe and familiarity with Verisurf and PC-Dmis experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of and experience generating Dimensional Inspection Reports (DIRs) and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Responsibilities

• Inspection of received material, in-process and finished components utilizing measuring equipment to drawings and specifications.
• Generate inspection records in accordance with ISO9001/AS9100.
• Ensure materials and processes are applied per drawings and specification requirements.
• Interfacing with machinists and production personnel to address quality issues.
• Verify calibrated tools within calibration interval prior to use.
• Isolate and document nonconforming material per Hera Quality procedures and work instructions.
