Job summary

Verus Aerospace in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a Quality Inspector to monitor and measure quality on close tolerance aerospace machined parts. You will perform in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections using a CMM and advanced inspection equipment.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, verifying documentation, recording results, and supporting Engineering, Manufacturing, and Programming with dimensional feedback. Aerospace experience and GD&T proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5 years of machine shop inspection experience.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment.
• Interpret aerospace/customer specifications.
• Reading blueprints and GD&T tolerancing.
• Proficiency in setup and use of measuring devices.
• Ability to contribute to a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and assemblies for conformance to drawings.
• Inspect workmanship of outside processors and/purchasers’ parts.
• Verify documentation and lot tracking.
• Record results in written and computer databases.
• Maintain and document SPC data and inspection records.
• Operate and troubleshoot CMM programs.
• Provide dimensional feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Programming.
