Job summary

HEICO is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to verify incoming aerospace products, materials, and documentation conform to purchase orders, drawings, and customer requirements. The role supports corrective actions and continuous improvement within the Quality Department in Fort Worth, TX.

The inspector will read blueprints, create inspection plans, use calipers, micrometers and gauges, and document results to ensure conformity before shipment.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications.
• Performs visual and technical inspection per requirements.
• Documents inspection results accurately and completely.
• Familiar with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and technical inspection of all parts and assemblies produced ensuring conformity to purchase requirements, applicable specifications, drawings, inspection instructions and customer requirements before acceptance or shipment.
• Read and comprehend blueprints and technical specifications to support creation and execution of inspection plans, documenting results accurately and completely.
• Use equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc to measure products and determine conformance to design characteristics.
• Verify that inspection equipment is suitable for its intended use and follow established procedures for handling inspection equipment.
• Identify, segregate and document nonconforming products in accordance with established procedures, providing inspection findings for disposition and corrective action activities.
• Review and perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102, applicable customer requirements, and company procedures.
• Support corrective action investigations by providing factual inspection evidence and identifying recurring inspection issues.
• Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for assigned accounts and Federal Contract Information (FCI) as required.
• Support continuous improvement activities for the Quality Department
• Perform other duties as assigned.
