Job summary

FDH Aero in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Quality Inspector II to inspect materials and end items through receipt to shipping in a warehouse setting for aerospace fasteners. The role includes calibration of tools and maintaining required documentation in compliance with AIAP standards.

The candidate will work with suppliers on rejected materials, perform random quality inspections, and ensure accuracy of part numbers and customer specifications.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years aerospace industry experience.
• Extensive knowledge of calibration/inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, ring gauges, plug gauges, radius gauges).
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with inventory and production documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers on rejected material and return the product if needed.
• Perform inspection on products received from vendors, specifically aerospace fasteners.
• Use gadgets such as micrometer screw gauges to measure products.
• Perform inspections at random to assess product quality.
• Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
• Remove products that don’t meet production standards and recommend strategies to improve product quality.
• Hold a high standard of quality for all products received, contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Recommend any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes.
• Ensure company compliance with customer requirements.
• Ensure that part numbers are correct and accurate before adding them to the system.
