Job summary

Aether Aerospace is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to uphold quality standards across incoming, in-process, and finished parts at our Hollywood, MD facility. You will apply CMM and inspection arm techniques, read engineering drawings, and ensure processes comply with ISO9001/2015 and AS9100D.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in manufacturing quality inspection, strong attention to detail, and good communication to collaborate with QA and production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO9001/2015 and AS9100D standards.
• Proficiency with CMM and inspection arms/scanners preferred.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauging fixtures for precise measurements.
• Operate CMM and inspection arm/scanner for complex parts.
• Document inspection results with detailed reports and data.
• Collaborate with QA to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to root cause analyses and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001/2015 and AS9100D.
• Communicate quality concerns to production and engineers.
