Job summary
RTX is seeking a Quality Inspector for its Powers & Controls team to perform inline inspection of repaired electronic components and verify paperwork for airworthiness, ensuring workmanship and conformance to customer requirements. The role emphasizes scrutinizing assembly quality, soldering, and documentation with strong attention to detail.
The position includes second shift hours and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates, with occasional weekend/holiday support to meet customer needs
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED with 2+ years relevant experience or 4 years relevant experience in the absence of HS diploma/GED.
- Familiarity with principles of Quality Inspection.
- Experience with FAA 8130 creation, SAP/ERP, and blueprints/technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Inspect rework and assembly and solder components per IPC-A-610 and J-STD.
- Read and interpret customer flow down documents, PO and technical docs.
- Review CMMs, assembly/work instructions and engineering prints.
- Generate ARC or Certificates of Conformance for authorities/customers.
- Ensure workmanship, quality requirements, and conformance to specs.
- Maintain accurate records and review work orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Interact with team, support staff, and external customers as needed.
- Issue scrap certificates and comply with ESD and FOD programs.
