Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality Inspector – Level 2 for a Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm shift with a $2.50/hr differential.

The role requires reading complex blueprints, advanced inspection skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team within aerospace manufacturing environments. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, certification in hardness/eddy current and related inspection methods, and strong math and documentation skills.

Qualifications

Ability to be certified with hardness and eddy current, sealant, bushing and bearing installation.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Experienced in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements.
Experience applying shop math such as trigonometry to calculate dimensions.
Understand BQMS processes and procedures.
Familiarity with machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology.
Experience with basic and advanced manual inspection tools.
Able to read and write in English.
Able to understand technical materials and communicate with coworkers.
Able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical tasks.

Responsibilities

Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machine parts, bushings, bearings and standards, simple assemblies, outside processing.
Document FAI report and non-conformances.
May perform special projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
