Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a líder in aerospace technology, seeks a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift in San Marcos, TX. You will inspect ship loose kits and in-process components, read blueprints, and document characteristics with precision.

You will initiate quality notifications and ensure calibration tools are used correctly. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 1 year of experience, familiarity with SAP, and the ability to work 2nd shift on-site.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience inspecting manufactured parts using blueprints and specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Inspect Ship Loose Kits and perform part kitting.
• Conduct detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections.
• Document product characteristics with accuracy and technical detail.
• Initiate Quality Notifications for non-conforming products.
• Apply QA procedures to inspection of hardware and document reviews.
• Identify potential quality issues early and help prevent non-conformities.
• Communicate quality issues to Collins Aerospace personnel for resolution.
• Monitor calibrated measuring instruments.
• Safely perform other duties as assigned.
• Work varying shifts or overtime as required.
