Job summary

HANWHA AEROSPACE USA LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector II for the 2nd shift in Newington, CT. You will perform 1st piece, in-process and final inspections on aircraft engine components to verify dimensions and finish against blueprints and customer requirements.

You will obtain fixtures, review operation sheets, document findings, and maintain inspection records while collaborating with shop personnel to ensure timely, compliant parts delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person for ITAR data access.
• High School Degree or GED required.
• 3+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blueprints and specification sheets for items and orders.
• Review internal operation sheets against customer blueprints.
• Determine inspection procedures to verify specifications and dimensions.
• Obtain fixtures, gauges, and indicators to check parts against specs.
• Complete assurance checklists during the process.
• Perform dimensional checks while parts are in the machine when needed.
• Reject nonconforming items and document nonconformances.
• Complete required paperwork for machine parts inspection activity.
• Accurately document all inspections (Receiving, In-Process, Final).
• Communicate with team and supervision to coordinate activities.
• Organize and maintain inspection department and gauging methods.
• Work independently to meet customer requirements.
• Assist in inducting incoming parts and aid expediting shipments.
• Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other related duties as required.
