Job summary

Regal Rexnord Corp in Downers Grove, IL, is seeking an onsite Inspector to support manufacturing quality. You will perform inspections across Final, Heat Treat, Plating, Receiving QC, In-Process, and First Article stages, ensuring adherence to AS9102 and ISO standards.

The role emphasizes NCR creation, data integrity, and collaboration with Quality and Production to maintain SQDC metrics; strong communication and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspections and quality planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules and company work standards.
• Perform inspections across final, heat treat, plating, receiving QC, in-process, and first article areas.
• Create NCRs for discrepancies and remove nonconforming material.
• Maintain SQDC metrics in assigned areas.
• Ensure procedural compliance and defect reporting; liaise between production and quality requirements.
• Maintain inspection data and paperwork at shift end.
• Coordinate with Quality team to optimize workflow; assist in absentee coverage.
• Escalate quality issues or stoppages immediately.
• Set up and adjust gauges per specifications; verify gauge setups.
• Work with quality engineering on gauging design and improvements.
• Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting gauge issues.
