Job summary

Triumph Group is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform final, first piece, and in-process inspection of aerospace jet engine components. You will uphold safety policies and ensure products meet Triumph Group and customer requirements.

Responsibilities include reading aerospace blueprints, using micrometers and gauges, maintaining AS9102 documentation, and training others in inspection methods. The role requires accuracy, teamwork, and a focus on quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years in quality inspection/machining in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gauges, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Experience with AS9100 quality systems and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports preferred.
• Ability to apply geometry/trigonometry to calibration tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality and manufacturing accuracy using inspection equipment.
• Maintain quality records (MCs, AS9102, IMS, First Piece Inspection).
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T.
• Use inspection tools (micrometers, gauges, sine plates) and related chemicals as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment to support cost-effective operations and recommend replacements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Train other inspectors or operators in inspection methods.
• Comply with company policies and build positive internal/external relationships.
