Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Technician / Production Quality Inspector in Manchester, CT. You will own inspections across the production lifecycle, ensuring aerospace parts meet engineering requirements before shipment or flight.

The role requires hands-on use of micrometers, calipers, CMMs, and AS9100/FAA compliance. You will document CoCs, manage NCRs, and support audits while thriving in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in GD&T and its application to aerospace components.
• Experience reading aerospace blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102).
• Practical experience using precision measurement tools and CMM equipment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and FAA regulatory requirements for aerospace products.
• Ability to pass visual acuity and color discrimination tests for inspection tasks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed visual inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies to defined quality standards.
• Conduct dimensional and physical inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and thread gauges.
• Interpret complex blueprints and specifications to validate conformance to design requirements and customer specs.
• Execute First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 standards.
• Use precision measurement equipment including CMMs and borescopes to verify tolerances.
• Record inspection data and maintain CoCs and traceability for every part.
• Identify, document, and report nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support audits to AS9100 and FAA requirements.
• Review production documentation to ensure work instructions and requirements are followed.
• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.
