Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Beltsville, MD seeks a Customer Quality Inspector (DSQR) for 2nd shift. Core hours 1–9 PM or 2–10 PM, Mon–Fri. Comp rate $28/hr plus 10% shift premium. Provides cross-functional QA support for aerospace documentation and inspection processes.

Candidate will verify customer requirements, review documentation from PO to CoC, perform dimensional checks, and ensure FAIR approvals. Strong reading of blueprints and AS9100 familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year aerospace quality experience.
• Experience with aerospace documentation including Certificates of Conformity, Inspection Records, travelers, and work orders.
• Experience reading blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Export control requirements and U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage and prioritize work orders to meet customer demand and schedules.
• Verify compliance with customer requirements and verify supplier documentation.
• Check documentation from Purchase Order to Certificate of Conformity.
• Perform visual inspection of markings, appearance, and condition as per requirements.
• Check dimensional characteristics and ensure FAIR approval by customer.
• Record inspection operations in logs and declare any non-conformities.
