Job summary

DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, seeks a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift in Germantown, MD. You will perform inspections to ensure conformance with engineering drawings and specifications in a fast-paced aerospace/defense manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting components, assisting with inspection plans, data collection, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Deep knowledge of J-Std-001/IPC-A-610 or equivalent manufacturing standards.
• Ability to read and verify mechanical drawings against requirements.
• Experience using measurement devices to verify part conformance.
• Experience with CMM or optical comparators preferred.
• Ability to interpret data and present findings to engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to assess conformance to design drawings/models.
• Inspect components and assemblies for dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
• Support development of inspection plans and checklists.
• Assist engineers with non-conforming conditions and root cause analysis.
• Generate discrepancy notices and participate in MRB actions.
• Handle material movement after inspection completes.
