Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is hiring a Quality Inspector in Slidell, LA to support aerospace/defense manufacturing. You will perform in-process and dimensional inspections, read blueprints with GD&T, and test coatings while maintaining QMS/ERP records.

Responsibilities include supplier audits, containment actions, calibration verification, and collaboration with engineering and production to ensure DoD and aerospace quality requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of quality inspection or QA experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of aerospace/defense quality standards (MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Familiarity with QMS/ERP and PPAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and dimensional measurements, documenting results per quality requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections of painted parts and verify compliance with customer specifications.
• Test products during painting and coating processes (thickness, adhesion, temperature, pH etc.).
• Interpret drawings and GD&T for machined components.
• Use precision measuring equipment to complete dimensional reports and verify conformance.
• Verify quality paperwork, certifications, inspection records are complete and maintained.
