Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Quality Control Inspector in New Orleans, LA. You will perform a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and/or electronic inspection and test operations to ensure adherence to standards and drawings on procured and production equipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts in Receiving, Shipping, Stores, Weld/Fabrication, Assembly and Testing; using gauges and nondestructive tests; generating quality reports; and interfacing with suppliers and

Qualifications

• Two years of electro/mechanical inspection experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and use precision measuring instruments.
• Must pass the required Eye exams for the NDT methods performed, as applicable.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and test of parts, materials, components, and systems across Receiving, Shipping, Stores, Weld/Fabrication, Assembly, Testing, Calibration, Radiography, and Coating Inspections.
• Visually examine with gauges, jigs, templates and nondestructive test methods to ensure compliance.
• Operate standard calibration and test equipment as needed.
• Reject parts that do not meet requirements and document nonconformances.
• Assist/train others in inspections, nondestructive testing, calibration and testing activities.
• Review software data on vendor items to determine acceptability.
• Generate quality reports and complete inspection checklists and calibration records.
• Adhere to safety requirements and departmental procedures.
