Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in East Granby, CT, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Inspector for 1st shift. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace engine parts, read technical documents and blueprints, and ensure conformance to customer specifications.

Requirements include 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or manufacturing, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with CMMs. Training and benefits offered; shift Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm; comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or general manufacturing
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of GD&T, gauges, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software is a plus
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components
• Measure features and holes on parts/components to determine if acceptable to customer requirements
• Inspection includes visual and dimensional process using required gauging and measuring equipment
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer requirements
• Ensure inspected parts meet criteria as acceptable
• Prepare required paperwork associated
