Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is hiring for a final inspector in East Granby, CT. You will conduct dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace engine parts, reading blueprints and specifications, and ensuring parts meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or general manufacturing.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, blueprints and customer specs.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, gauges, micrometers and borescopes.
• Experience with CMMs using PCDMIS and/or MODUS is a plus.
• Experience in turbine engine repair inspections is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection of finished aerospace engine parts and components.
• Measure features and holes to customer requirements.
• Inspection includes visual and dimensional processes with required gauging and measuring equipment.
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to meet customer requirements.

Position Details

Location: East Granby, CT

1st Shift: Mon‑Fri 7:00am-3:30pm

Your Expertise

• 2+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment
• Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and customer specifications
• Must have working knowledge of analog, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), gauges, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in operating CMMs using PCDMIS and/ or MODUS software is a plus
• Previous experience performing incoming, in process, or final inspections in a turbine engine repair environment is highly desirable

$23.00/hour - $40.00/hour
