Job summary

Embraer in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Quality Engineering leader responsible for defining and driving quality strategies across the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with QMS and regulatory requirements.

You will lead teams, manage audits with FAA and certification bodies, deploy PFMEA, SPC, and Lean initiatives, and partner with design and manufacturing to reduce non-conformances and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years as Quality, Manufacturing or Product Engineer; 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, risk management and project management skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, RBAC 21 and FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Quality Engineering teams with a focus on safety, ethics and performance.
• Establish and improve the QMS and certifications such as ISO 9001, AS9100, RBAC 21.
• Coordinate audits and interface with certification bodies, customers and regulators.
• Drive CAPA processes across development to customer operation.
• Deploy PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and measurement system analysis.
• Lead quality readiness activities, FAI monitoring and process qualification.
• Manage dimensional inspection and metrology to meet engineering specs.
• Lead digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives for quality processes.
• Oversee KPI management, Lean initiatives and budgeted resources.
