Job summary

Revolution Space is seeking a Quality Engineer to coordinate process development, improve operations, and ensure products meet defined quality standards. The role involves root cause analysis, audits, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing in a remote environment with a preference for the Eastern Time Zone, DMV area.

Responsibilities include leading quality investigations, auditing suppliers, tracking KPIs, and maintaining QMS compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years quality engineering in aerospace/high-reliability manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with nonconformance management, MRB, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Working knowledge of inspection methods and measurement equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into quality issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure quality.
  • Analyze KPIs such as scrap, rework, and PPM.
  • Support QMS such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, update docs.
  • Review PPAP submissions and resolve supplier quality concerns.
  • Improve manufacturing processes to reduce cost and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and others to resolve issues.
  • Develop product testing procedures and inspect materials and finished goods.
