Job summary

Revolution Space is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead process development, improvement, and operations management across aerospace-grade products. You will interact with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure robust, cost-effective quality.

Responsibilities include investigations, audits, data-driven KPI analysis, QMS compliance (ISO 9001/AS9100), and PPAP review, with a remote role favored for Eastern Time, DMV area and travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in aerospace/defense/high-reliability manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 management systems.
• Experience with nonconformance management, MRB, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Familiar with quality tools and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into quality issues from internal production, suppliers, and customers, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Conduct internal and supplier quality audits to ensure standards and best practices.
• Collect, analyze, and report quality KPIs (scrap, rework, PPM) and drive improvement.
• Support QMS adoption (ISO 9001/AS9100) and update documentation.
• Manage PPAP submissions and resolve supplier quality concerns.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Develop and execute product testing procedures and inspect materials and finished goods.
