Job summary

Revolution Space is seeking a Quality Engineer to coordinate process development, improvements, and operations management. You will interface with production, engineers, management, vendors, and customers to drive robustness, cost efficiency and product quality.

The role focuses on root cause analysis, QA testing, and continuous improvement, with remote flexibility (Eastern time preferred) and up to 50% travel. You will help implement ISO 9001 and AS9100 frameworks across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience within aerospace, defense, space, or a high-reliability manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS.
• Experience with nonconformance management, MRB, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing docs.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into quality issues from internal production, suppliers and customers; identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report on quality KPIs like scrap, rework, and ppm.
• Support QMS compliance including ISO 9001 and AS 9100; update docs and guidelines.
• Manage supplier quality by reviewing PPAP submissions and resolve quality concerns.
• Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to raise quality and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve quality issues.
• Develop and execute product testing procedures and inspect raw materials and finished goods.
