Job summary

KBR is seeking Quality Engineers to support NASA programs. These roles, full-time and part-time, focus on implementing mission assurance requirements across the project lifecycle and supplier surveillance.

Candidates should have aerospace experience and be adept at reviewing designs, processes, and records to ensure compliance with procedures and contractual requirements. Responsibilities include non-conformance handling, MRRs/TRRs participation, certification verification, and final acceptance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years quality engineering experience.
• Previous NASA or aerospace industry experience.
• GMIPS for Electronic Boards.
• Pre-cap inspection of hybrid microcircuits.
• Conformal coating inspection for flight assemblies.
• Final workmanship inspection prior to integration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flight hardware anomalies, corrective actions, and re-verifications are documented per non-conformance system.
• Participate in production planning and MRRs/TRRs review.
• Examine process design/qualification records and verify labs have required certifications.
• Review flight hardware records and address open items before tests.
• Monitor contractor quality and safety controls during fabrication, integration, and tests.
• Support root cause corrective actions and data analysis for supplier performance.
• Review supplier CDRL documents and provide recommendations.
• Perform final instrument buy-off review and thorough inspections.
