Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to establish, implement, and enforce quality system processes for products in development and production. You will review manufacturing build documents, perform audits, and collaborate with engineering to improve design manufacturability and quality.

Requires a BS in engineering with 7+ years in quality or engineering, AS9100/ISO9000 familiarity, Six Sigma Green Belt, RCCA proficiency, and GD&T expertise.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering; 7+ years in quality or engineering in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management System and related quality programs.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or lean methodologies understanding.
• Proven RCCA tools experience.
• Strong GD&T technical understanding.
• Quality assurance in aerospace or rocket/military production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes for products in development and production environments.
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance aligned with quality goals.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the application of the quality system per AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Recommend and implement initiatives to improve product and system quality.
• Provide QA domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Collaborate with customers to address quality concerns and train on quality awareness.
