Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Quality Engineer to apply standard engineering techniques to evaluate product conformance through the execution, optimization, and validation of quality processes, including design verification, root‑cause analysis, and nonconformance disposition.

You will establish quality standards, audit processes, provide expertise to inspection and fabrication teams, and develop training materials to build quality awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science.
• 5+ years' proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
• Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records
• Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
• Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
• Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
• Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality-related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. It supports manufacturing and supply chain across all facilities. Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering/Science
• 5+ years' proven experience in a Quality Engineer role in a production environment. Aerospace, space launch, or military or commercial aviation preferred
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 QM System and/or related quality systems and programs
