Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Quality Engineer (II-III) to apply technical expertise and leadership to ensure safe, high-quality space hardware throughout development and production.

The role emphasizes implementing quality systems, participating in design reviews, audits, and improvements; AS9100 familiarity and GD&T proficiency are highly valued; U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or equivalent STEM degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Quality assurance experience in production environment; aerospace/space launch preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes for development and production.
• Review and approve manufacturing build documents and nonconformance records.
• Perform periodic audits of the quality system per AS9100.
• Participate in engineering design reviews and recommend quality improvements.
• Provide QA expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality concerns and train on quality awareness.
