Job summary

Be e hive Industries seeks a Senior Quality Engineer for our Knoxville facility to lead aerospace quality activities and drive First Article Inspections, GD&T, and SPC-based process improvements. You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve complex quality issues and ensure AS9100 compliance across CNC machining operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality engineering or manufacturing quality roles.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision machining environments.
• Hands-on experience in AS9100 or ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.
• Experience performing or supporting FAIs per AS9102.
• Experience with CMM operation and basic programming (PC-DMIS or similar).
• Experience with SPC implementation, control charts, and basic statistical process analysis.
• Strong understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Proficiency with metrology tools and data analysis.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to train junior staff and support QA initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead dimensional inspection activities using manual and automated metrology tools.
• Support and independently execute FAIs in accordance with AS9102.
• Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions.
• Support and perform CMM programming and inspection execution (PC-DMIS or similar).
• Develop and implement SPC charts and Cp/Cpk analysis.
• Lead RCCA efforts using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve production quality issues.
• Ensure QMS documentation accuracy and calibration records.
