Job summary

Joined Alloys, a precision aerospace manufacturer in Phoenix, seeks a Quality Engineer with CMM programming expertise to support AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems. You will develop inspection plans, review FAIRs, and drive root-cause analysis with SPC, PPAP, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires hands-on CMM experience, GD&T proficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of quality engineering in manufacturing (aerospace/precision preferred).
• Hands-on experience programming/operating CMMs.
• Strong GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and dimensional inspection.
• Experience with FAIRs, SP C, CpK analysis, and PPAP.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Program, operate, and troubleshoot Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe CMMs.
• Develop and maintain CMM programs and inspection methods.
• Prepare and validate FAIRs per AS9102 and customer requirements.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T to create inspection plans.
• Establish in-process and final inspection procedures.
• Investigate nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce defects and variation.
• Support PPAP documentation and customer quality submissions.
• Assist audits and maintain quality records.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
