Job summary

Narda-MITEQ seeks a Specialist, Quality Engineering in Hauppauge, NY to support the Quality Management System and drive improvements. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Sales, Customer Service and Engineering to meet customer commitments and ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes external and internal audits, RCCA investigations, and supplier collaboration while leveraging measurement tools and dimensional data to ensure traceability and excellence in aerospace microelectronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years with an associate degree.
• Experience in an AS9100 environment.
• Knowledge of microelectronics products.
• Knowledge of mechanical blueprints & tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Inspection, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain to address issues daily.
• Be data driven to assess processes and interpret data for continuous improvement.
• Report to Quality Manager on issues, metrics, and trends.
• Identify RCCA for nonconformances and customer complaints.
• Investigate root causes for nonconformities and develop corrective actions.
• Execute Failure Reports, CARs, SCARs and Customer Complaints with cross-functional support.
• Lead audits and support customer source inspections as needed.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on quality matters.
• Evaluate supplier selections and lead supplier audits and corrective actions.
