Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on quality engineering or inspection experience in an AS9100 aerospace/defense environment.
• Foundational proficiency reading aerospace drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Experience learning new software/workflows in short-term contract roles.

Responsibilities

• First Article Inspections (FAI): author/review AS9102 Forms 1–3 manually or with aerospace software.
• Non-Conformance: create NCRs/DRs for non-compliant materials and segregate on the floor.
• Floor inspection: verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges.
• FOD control & safety: enforce debris/damage prevention in assembly areas.
• Escalation & collaboration: work with teams to document root-cause investigations.
