Job summary

PDS Tech, Inc. seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to support spacecraft assembly in Mesa, AZ. The role blends hands-on on-floor quality with desk-based leadership, focusing on preventing defects and driving corrective actions.

The candidate should have aerospace experience with composites and metals, GD&T expertise, and a track record in NCR dispositioning, RCCA, FAIs, and MWIs. This is a 12-month contract with 8am-5pm scheduling.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
10+ years in aerospace manufacturing quality engineering with assembly experience.
SME-level in composite fabrication and metallic manufacturing processes.
Proven FAIs (AS9102), drawing reviews, and MWI development/approval.
Strong GD&T knowledge and MRB decision-making.

Responsibilities

Serve as manufacturing quality SME for composite and metallic fabrication, assembly and integration.
Split time 50:50 between shop floor support and desk-based analysis and reporting.
Lead NCR and RCCA processes, drive CAPAs and CABs for sustained improvements.
Oversee FAIs (AS9102) and validate MWIs and tooling documentation.
