Job summary

PPG's Aerospace Business is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor in Avon, MA. You will oversee Quality Control personnel, ensure products meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards, and drive corrective actions.

The role is onsite at the Avon, MA plant, reporting to the Quality Manager. Requires 3+ years in quality engineering and 3+ years of people management, with aerospace/automotive experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, business administration, production/operations management or related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of quality engineering-related experience within a manufacturing environment required, preferably aerospace/automotive.
• 3+ years of formal people management experience required.
• Experience training new and existing employees.
• Preferred experience: Aerospace/Automotive industries; APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Controls Plans; Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma; Root Cause Corrective Action; Material Review Board; AS9100 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises a team of Quality Control Technicians.
• Supports QA with root cause analysis of failed parts; documents results and records.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 & AS9100 QMS.
• Lead process improvement suggestions and corrective actions.
• Manage training and qualification of inspectors.
