Job summary

Rantec Power Systems, Inc in California seeks a Quality Control Engineer L1 to support product realization and ensure compliance from design to delivery. The role emphasizes process audits, training QA personnel, and leading containment actions in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will review ECNs, issue Quality Alerts, and support cross-functional project teams with containment and root-cause analysis while maintaining strong communication and adherence to QMS standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 10+ yrs quality experience in lieu of degree.
• APQP experience desirable.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (AS9102) desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of SPC tools.
• QC Engineer experience in aerospace design/manufacturing is preferred.
• AS9100 knowledge and working with electrical/mechanical inspection is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Audits of specific areas, processes and procedures including internal QMS audits.
• Train Quality personnel in areas such as ESD, FOD control, and QMS procedures.
• Perform related duties of QA department as assigned.
• Support Quality Control Manager as necessary.
• ECN review feedback and sign-off on acceptable changes.
• Generate and issue Quality Alerts as needed.
• Support project teams when product failures and defect trends are identified.
• Lead preventive and corrective action activities including containment and root-cause analysis.
