Job summary

Great Hire Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (Mechanical / Aerospace) in Sun Valley, CA to measure and visually inspect components, ensure compliance with design specs and customer requirements, and generate inspection records across manufacturing processes.

You will perform first piece off and in-process inspections, support shop audits, manage NCRs, review lot documentation, and release parts for packing and shipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on mechanical inspection experience.
• 1+ year GD&T inspection experience on machined components.
• (No CMM experience required).

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st piece off dimensional/visual inspections on machined parts.
• Conduct in-process sample inspections on forged and machined materials.
• Perform weekly shop audits across machine centers (visual, dimensional, documentation).
• Complete FAIRs on standard forms or via Net-Inspect.
• Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming products via NCRs.
• Verify shipping parts against sales orders for correct part IDs and documentation.
• Authorize product release for packing and shipment.
• Escalate production/quality issues to prevent downstream delays.
