Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to support aerospace projects from Cape Canaveral, FL, in a hybrid role. The candidate will design tests, build automation, and ensure acceptance criteria are met for complex software systems.

Responsibilities include test strategy, execution, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve quality and processes. A bachelor’s in a STEM field and 7+ years aerospace experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residency due to sensitivity of information.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of recent aerospace/space experience.
• Knowledge of Aerospace Software Quality Assurance policies, processes and procedures.
• Experience reviewing Software Quality Assurance documentation.
• Proven ability to work in cohesive teams and interact with all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy, plans, and test cases aligned with requirements and standards.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing; log defects and verify fixes.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines; evaluate and support test tools.
• Write acceptance criteria for user stories and ensure delivered software meets criteria.
• Produce thorough documentation of test cases, execution results, and defect investigations.
• Diagnose failures, reproduce in test environments, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and processes and propose improvements; mentor junior QA staff.
• Collaborate with developers, hardware engineers, and mission planners in design reviews and sprint ceremonies.
• Other duties as assigned.
