Job summary

Enjet Aero in New Britain, CT seeks an Outside Services Purchasing Agent to source, negotiate and manage external suppliers for aerospace components. This on-site role supports production schedules, ensures compliance with aerospace standards and delivers cost targets.

You will issue POs, coordinate movement of parts with our onsite driver, track status and work with engineering, quality and planning teams to optimize supplier performance. Epicor experience preferred; aerospace background a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, supply chain or procurement—preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of outside processes such as heat treat, coatings and machining.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems—Epicor is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders for outside services based on production needs, engineering requirements and customer specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to support cost reduction and efficiency goals
• Ensure all purchase orders include correct technical documentation, drawings and specifications
• Coordinate the movement of parts to and from suppliers to maintain production flow with our onsite driver
• Track order status, expedite critical jobs and resolve delays or bottlenecks
• Collaborate with production, planning, engineering and quality teams to ensure alignment of priorities
• Ensure suppliers comply with aerospace standards and customer specific requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, certifications and customer traceability
• Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor)
• Any other tasks assigned by management
