Job summary

Epic Aircraft in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage supplier orders, forecast stocking needs, and keep production flowing. You will negotiate pricing, monitor deliveries, and maintain supplier programs to secure cost savings.

The role requires 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain, strong communication and organization, and the ability to work with Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory, Accounting and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify purchase requisitions from forecasting system.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent shortages.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders with pricing, specs, and delivery requirements.
• Place orders with suppliers and monitor order status for on-time delivery.
• Maintain supplies of materials to support production schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and other terms with suppliers.
• Source alternative products and suppliers to improve cost, quality, and availability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
