Job summary

Fairhope Aero in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage procurement of materials, schedule deliveries, and coordinate ERP movements with production. You will evaluate vendors, establish terms, process orders, monitor shipments, maintain records, and collaborate with Sales, Production, Logistics, and Finance.

Some travel and compliance with safety and ITAR/EAR may apply. High school diploma and two years ERP and purchasing experience preferred; US citizenship or permanent residency

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US.
• Two years of experience with ERP systems.
• Two years of purchasing experience.
• Experience in aviation, industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Vendor / supplier management experience preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Researches and evaluates new vendors.
• Establishes payment terms with vendors.
• Reviews requisitions for goods and services and places orders.
• Monitors shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proper certifications.
• Maintains and reviews records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, and inventories.
• Works closely with Sales, Production, Logistics, and Finance.
• Travels as required.
