Job summary

Daher’s Pompano Beach, Florida site seeks a Purchasing Agent to manage procurement for aircraft maintenance and related programs. You will collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to secure reliable, cost-efficient sources while controlling inventories and delivery schedules.

The role emphasizes SAP/ERP usage, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance monitoring to support FAA-regulated maintenance activities and program requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree preferred in business/admin or related field.
• Experience as a purchasing agent or in aircraft industry is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Select the most reliable suppliers in terms of quality and cost.
• Monitor inventory levels and determine purchase needs.
• Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices.
• Prepare and process purchase orders.
• Maintain records of all transactions, POs, receipts and payments.
• Schedule and verify purchase deliveries.
• Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Monitor safety stock forecasts to ensure availability and avoid obsolete stock.
• Ensure supply of raw materials within contract delivery cycles.
• Analyze stocks to optimize procurement and report actions to leadership.
