Job summary

FMI Aerostructures in Santa Clarita, CA, is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing, production, quality and shipping functions. The role involves creating and processing purchase orders, obtaining approvals, and maintaining accurate records to keep production on schedule.

You will work with vendors, manage quotes, track open orders, and coordinate with internal teams on pricing, lead times and order status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain is desirable.
• Experience in aerospace/manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders based on approved requirements and requests.
• Route purchase orders for review and approval per company procedures.
• Update, revise, confirm PO documents and supporting paperwork.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, lead times, order confirmations, and status.
• Follow up on open POs and outstanding deliveries.
• Coordinate PO activity for Outside Special Processing (OSP) needs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information.
• Assist with resolving discrepancies across departments.
