Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on mechanical/manufacturing engineer to collaborate with propulsion and structures teams on hardware design and prototype development. You will guide manufacturing plans, prototype iterations, and tooling choices, using CNC and manual machining to advance development across multiple iterations.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, excellent communication, and the ability to work across large geographic teams to meet tight schedules and evolving

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering discipline as listed.
• 8+ years in CNC machining for complex aerospace hardware.
• Proven product development success and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering during hardware design and development.
• Prototype manufacturing plans and iterate with internal customers.
• Manufacture and evaluate hardware prototypes across iterations.
• Hands-on contribution to manufacturing and development as needed.
• Utilize CNC and manual equipment to support development.
• Advise on design for manufacturability and tooling.
