Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) seeks an experienced Project Engineering Professional in the United States. The role leads part-level ownership, task planning and execution within the CIPT to meet schedule, cost and quality goals.

You will mentor other engineers, collaborate with the IPT and management, and travel up to 10% to support hardware investigations and product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of prior relevant experience or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience includes project management and technical engineering.
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical requirements are met, perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure performance, quality, cost, industrial and schedule commitments are achieved.
• Prepare/present status and technical content to IPT Lead, CIPT & upper Pratt & Whitney management.
• Work closely with the Integrated Product Team and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.
• Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate process changes or support ESTO for Class II Engineering Changes.
• Mentor and help develop other Project Engineers on the team.
• Travel up to 10%
