Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Project Engineer to lead aviation programs in St. Charles, MO. This 6-month, full-time consulting role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a pay rate of $71.00–$81.00 per hour. US citizenship is required due to government regulations and project needs.

You will guide cross-functional teams, develop SOWs, and ensure successful execution of aerospace programs while delivering data-driven insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering or STEM field.
• 4+ years in production or systems engineering.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional projects or teams.
• 4+ years using project management tools.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with metrics dashboards (Tableau/Power BI).
• Eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOW) for programs.
• Define scope, deliverables, and approvals with customers and leadership.
• Assess impact of changes to cost, schedule, and resources.
• Lead project execution aligned with objectives and metrics.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate resources across the full lifecycle.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Deliver reports to senior/executive leadership.
• Support data-driven decision making and reporting tools.
