Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking an experienced Scheduler to coordinate production priorities, track work-in-process, and resolve constraints across manufacturing teams. The role supports timely delivery and accurate job status visibility using ERP systems.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in manufacturing scheduling, proficiency with Epicor/Office tools, and strong problem-solving skills to optimize production flow and collaborate with operators and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Scheduling or planning experience required.
• Understanding of routings, travelers, and shop floor operations.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning systems; Epicor experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to support process-improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work directly with operators and supervisors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary scheduling point of contact for assigned resource groups.
• Monitors and manages work in process status for production jobs and ensures updates are accurately reflected in enterprise resource planning systems.
• Prioritizes and expedites jobs affected by material, labor, tooling, or quality constraints.
• Coordinates priorities and communicates job status updates with supervisors, planners, and operations teams.
• Supports recovery efforts for late or high-priority orders.
• Assists with part staging, expediting, job sequencing, and reprioritization activities.
• Identifies production bottlenecks and escalates issues affecting delivery performance.
• Supports inventory cycle count activities as required.
