Karman Space & Defense in West Valley City, UT is seeking a Master Scheduler to develop and manage the Master Production Schedule ensuring on‑time delivery and optimal capacity utilization. This role requires collaboration with Operations, Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Program Management to translate demand into executable production plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in production planning, master scheduling, or related roles.
• Experience creating and managing production schedules in complex manufacturing.
• Knowledge of MRP, ERP, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision skills.
• Proficient Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and prioritization ability.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains the Master Production Schedule based on demand, backlog, and capacity.
• Translates requirements into achievable schedules across multiple work centers.
• Sets production priorities and communicates needs to cross‑functional teams.
• Analyzes capacity and constraints to identify delivery risks.
• Ensures schedules reflect lead times, material status, tooling, and workforce limits.
• Monitors adherence and escalates deviations impacting delivery commitments.
• Coordinates with Planning and Procurement for material alignment.
• Supports SIOP processes with capacity and backlog data.
• Maintains ERP/MRP parameters and integrates with shop floor conditions.
• Drives continuous improvement in planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
