Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our aerospace forging operation in El Cajon, CA. You will lead production ramp-up, coordinate across ops, engineering, quality, supply chain, and finance to deliver safe, compliant, on-time programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project/program management experience in manufacturing
• Experience with scheduling tools and ERP/MRP data
• Aerospace/defense or other regulated environment experience preferred
• PMP certification (or active pursuit) preferred; Lean/Six Sigma familiarity is a plus
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a high-tempo environment

Responsibilities

• Lead ramp-up and rate-readiness plans for major aerospace programs across ops, Eng, quality, supply chain, maintenance, and finance
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and resource plans
• Own the project risk/opportunity register with owners, due dates, and escalation paths
• Establish and report ramp-up KPIs and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership
• Facilitate cadences, readiness reviews, and cross-functional problem-solving sessions; publish actions
• Manage budgets and capital/tooling plans; track actuals vs. plan and forecast to completion
• Coordinate supplier readiness and long-lead procurement with capacity/risk assessments
• Drive change control during ramp-up and assess impacts on cost, schedule, capacity
• Coordinate manufacturing readiness deliverables aligned with customer requirements and site quality system
