Job summary

Unknown is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations in an aerospace-focused environment. Qualifications

• 10+ years of management/leadership experience in manufacturing or operations.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong production planning and scheduling experience.
• Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and shop-floor operations.
• Proven experience managing production teams and developing employees.
• Experience tracking KPIs, quality, efficiency, productivity, and OTD.
• Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or aerospace quality systems preferred.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and production operations.
• Oversee operations from RFQ through production and final delivery.
• Develop and manage production schedules, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Lead and develop production and department teams.
• Monitor production performance, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Establish and track KPIs and use data to identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Manage tooling, equipment, materials, and other operational resources.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Sales, and other departments to resolve issues and meet customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations.
• Monitor department budgets and operational costs.
• Support customer requirements and provide updates regarding production status.
• Ensure employees are properly trained and developed.
• Maintain compliance with applicable quality and aerospace standards.
• Utilize MRP/ERP and other systems to support production planning and operational management.
