Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Production Planner to ensure timely procurement, scheduling, and delivery of materials for production and engineering operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain the production schedule, track progress, and prepare performance reports.

The role requires 3+ years in production planning, proficiency with MS Project/Excel/Microsoft Dynamics, and aerospace experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a production planner/scheduler.
• Familiar with Earned Value Management or other similar reporting and metrics.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or Microsoft Dynamics for scheduling.
• Proficiency in databasing software such as Excel, MS Access, or SQL.
• Proficiency in ERP software such as MS Dynamics.
• Ability to keep stakeholders informed of production timelines and changes.
• Aerospace industry experience or equivalent experience developing and maintaining production schedules for advanced and technical efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules, engineering demands, and project milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and align procurement strategies with project goals.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while minimizing excess or obsolete materials.
• Work closely with procurement to ensure on-time delivery of materials, resolving delays or quality issues promptly.
• Analyze material usage trends, lead times, and demand fluctuations to drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
• Coordinate production timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders, updating schedules as needed.
