Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking a Production Planner onsite in East Granby, CT to drive the production schedule across multiple cells using ERP systems and communicate milestones to teams. You will balance customer requirements with throughput objectives, track progress from launch to completion, and coordinate with Purchasing to align vendor delivery dates.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years scheduling in manufacturing, strong ERP/MRP experience (Syteline 9 preferred), and advanced Excel/PowerPoint

Qualifications

• 5+ years scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP/MRP experience required, Syteline 9 experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Power BI a plus.
• Ability to prioritize workload and resolve conflicts quickly.
• Balance customer needs with company interests.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Uses ERP to develop and communicate production schedule and reflect it in ERP and on cell boards.
• Ensure internal/external customer requirements are met per the schedule.
• Track progress from launch to completion; expedite as needed.
• Assist supervision with level loading and balancing the line.
• Maintain Line-of-Balance tracking for key programs.
• Monitor monthly forecast risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with customer service to provide accurate delivery dates and notifications of delays.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to align vendor delivery dates.
