Job summary

Tactair, a precision aerospace components company, seeks a Production Planner to own complex, high-mix schedules and drive on-time delivery. You will analyze data with SQL and ERP tools, build dashboards, and apply Six Sigma methods to optimize inventory and processes.

The role requires collaboration with operations, engineering, and sales to ensure feasible ship dates and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant in Syracuse and surrounding facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Strong analytical skills and experience developing queries to convert data into insights.
• Experience with Epicor, SAP, MAPICS or equivalent planning systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules to meet external delivery requirements and internal revenue targets.
• Review orders, capacity, and material availability to provide ship dates.
• Advise management on WIP status and production risks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and expedite parts and determine progress dates.
• Release and track manufacturing jobs to ensure daily schedule adherence.
• Utilize ERP data to extract trends and drive process improvements; design KPIs and dashboards.
• Perform statistical analysis to optimize inventory and apply Lean Six Sigma to reduce waste.
